Terms of service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of theteachingvault.com (the "Site") and any purchase made through it. The Site is operated by 1001721457 Ontario Inc., operating as The Teaching Vault ("we," "us"), based in Ontario, Canada. Contact: support@theteachingvault.com.

By using the Site or completing a purchase, you agree to these Terms.

1. Who can buy

You must be at least the age of majority where you live, and have the authority to enter this agreement — including, if purchasing on behalf of a school or board, authority to do so on its behalf.

2. What we sell

Digital, downloadable lesson plans, student materials, and assessments for Grades 1–8, aligned to the provincial curriculum, delivered as PDF, DOCX, and/or PPTX. There is no physical shipment.

3. Your license

See our License & Usage Terms, incorporated into these Terms by reference. In short: a purchase licenses one teacher to use the materials in their own classroom — not resale, redistribution, or school- or board-wide sharing.

4. Pricing, currency, and taxes

All prices are listed in Canadian dollars (CAD) and are exclusive of any tax, duty, or VAT that may apply where you live. Applicable Canadian sales tax is calculated and collected at checkout where required. If you're purchasing from outside Canada, you're responsible for any VAT, GST, customs duty, or import fee assessed by your own country or region — we do not collect or remit these on your behalf.

5. Delivery and cancellation

Digital products are delivered immediately after payment by download link. Because delivery is immediate and the content is fully accessible at that point, by completing your purchase you acknowledge and agree you are not entitled to cancel the order once the download has been made available, except as described in our Refund Policy.

5A. Credits and memberships

Credits. Credits are the currency of The Teaching Vault. One credit is worth one Canadian dollar of store value and can be spent on anything we sell: generated materials, catalogue units and courses.

Membership credits. Each billing cycle of a membership includes a set number of credits. Membership credits are a feature of the membership for that cycle. Unused membership credits carry over to the next cycle up to the cap shown on your membership page (currently 24 for Starter and 52 for Classroom). Membership credits, including any carried over and any sign-up bonus, expire 3 days after the end of the last paid cycle if the membership is not renewed. They have no cash value and are not refundable.

Top-up credits. Credits bought as a one-time top-up do not expire. Unused top-up credits are refundable within 14 days of purchase, at the price paid.

Spending order. When you spend credits, the credits closest to expiring are used first.

Bonus and free credits may be spent on generated materials only, and follow the expiry of the membership they came with.

Changes. We may change credit prices and membership contents for new purchases. A change never removes credits you already hold or what a past purchase gave you.

6. Refunds

See our Refund Policy.

7. Curriculum alignment

Our materials are built from and mapped to the Ontario curriculum but are independently authored. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the Ontario Ministry of Education. We take care to keep every math and science answer key accurate, but the materials don't replace your own professional judgment.

8. Acceptable use

No reproducing, redistributing, reselling, or publicly posting purchased material beyond the license in Section 3, and no scraping, reverse-engineering, or interfering with the Site.

9. Intellectual property

Everything on the Site — including our compilation, wording, and design — is owned by The Teaching Vault or our licensors. Your purchase licenses the specific materials you bought; it doesn't transfer ownership.

10. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The Site and materials are provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the product giving rise to the claim.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms; continued use after a change means you accept it.

12. Governing law

Ontario and applicable federal Canadian law. Disputes resolved in the courts of Ontario.
